Working remote and other ways of working

My employees work from home. Can they use the fonts?

Yes. A standard desktop license is issued to a whole company and covers its employees. Our standard EULA does not place a restriction on the operating location of the employees, as long as they work on hardware and software resources that the company owns and controls.

Versioned and cloud-based backups

If you use granular or versioned backup systems such as Apple’s Time Machine or Git, then you are replicating multiples copies of the font. Our standard EULA does not limit the number of backups you can make, as long as you control those backups. See also our note on Git repositories.

Cloud-based backups create remote copies of the font. Our standard EULA does not limit the location(s) of backups you make, as long as you control those backups.

Tablets

Our Desktop license enable you to install our fonts to enable access through apps (such as Photoshop) and work on iPads and similar tablet devices. Note that embedding a font in app for distribution requires an App license extension.

Web-based apps and Digital Asset Management Systems (DAM)

Our Desktop license enable you to install our fonts to enable access through web-based design apps (such as Creative Cloud or Canva). Note that embedding a font in a web page requires a Web license, and embedding in a web-based app for distribution to third-parties requires a Server license extension.

Virtual machines

Because we don't measure usage by the number of CPUs or computers, our Desktop license enable you to install our fonts on virtual machines. Our standard EULA does not limit the number of VMs, as long as they are resources that the company owns and controls. Note that embedding a font in System for distribution requires an OEM or POS license extension.
